Bhikshuni Weisbrot lives in Queens, NY.  She worked at the United Nations for 25 years and is the President of the United Nations SRC Society of Writers. She is the editor, along with Elizabeth Lara and Darrel Alejandro Holnes of “Happiness, the Delight-Tree,” An Anthology of Contemporary International Poetry honoring the International Day of Happiness. (March 20) which brings together poets from 67 countries, with poems in 35 world languages. A poet, most recently her work has appeared in "On Human Flourishing, A Poetry Anthology" (McFarland and Co., Inc).  She is a regular contributor of both her own poems and that of her long-time spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy (1931-2007) to the radio show "Green Living",  with 3rd Strike Radio and has performed in many of his publicly staged plays.  Bhikshuni is a former ultra-distance runner and continues to support multi-day racing as a member of the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team.
